Build a cross-border investment and trade matchmaking platform

This platform integrates global investment and trade resources to provide businesses with project matchmaking, policy consulting, financial support, and one-stop cross-border services, helping them efficiently expand into international markets.

On 7 22, the cross-border investment and trade matching platform officially launched. Developed by government authorities in collaboration with multiple financial institutions, industry associations, and cross-border service providers, the platform addresses key challenges such as information asymmetry and fragmented resources faced by enterprises in their global operations. Guided by its core philosophy of "Connecting Globally, Serving the Real Economy," the platform prioritizes three key areas: project matchmaking, policy enablement, and financial support, charting a clear path toward high-level opening-up and enhanced trade and investment facilitation.

The platform's architecture combines breadth and precision, featuring four core modules: Investment Project Library, Trade Supply-Demand Pool, Policy Information Hub, and Financial Services Zone. It covers key industry projects and trade opportunities across 50+ countries and regions worldwide, delivering a full-chain, one-stop service experience that embodies the vision of "interconnectivity and mutual benefit," reflecting the shared destiny of domestic and international market players collaborating to build a new cross-border cooperation ecosystem.

Since the platform's planning phase began in 2025, all preparatory activities have proceeded smoothly throughout the year. In 4 of 2026, the platform's internal testing and partner signing ceremony were successfully held in Shanghai, attended by nearly 200 representatives from government agencies, financial institutions, industry associations, and enterprises. Prior to the launch, multiple rounds of needs assessments covered more than 300 companies across manufacturing, services, and the digital economy sectors. At the official launch event, the platform operator emphasized a user-centric approach focused on three core pillars: project matchmaking, policy consulting, and financial support. Key initiatives include delivering targeted investment guidance for priority countries, facilitating cross-border trade matching, and providing hedging solutions alongside financing connections—all aligned with the RCEP implementation framework to transform fragmented cross-border investment and trade services into an integrated ecosystem.

Launching the platform at this node carries both contemporary and practical significance. As the world's largest goods trading nation and a key source of foreign investment, China hosts a vast ecosystem of market entities and a complete industrial system, enabling full realization of the platform's scale and network effects to provide tangible support for enterprises' cross-border operations. The platform has already onboarded nearly 1,000 initial investment projects and trade demands, partnered with over a dozen banks and insurance institutions to offer specialized financial products, established multi-level channels for government-enterprise-bank collaboration, and is ready to welcome enterprises to seize global market opportunities together.

Amidst a fragile global economic recovery, challenges such as unilateral protectionism, supply chain restructuring, and geopolitical risks continue to intensify. As cross-border investment and trade remain core engines of global growth, deepening support services is critical. This platform will build an equitable, mutually beneficial bridge for collaboration, uniting market entities in shared goals and coordinated action. We will expand service boundaries in key areas like digital trade, green investment, and supply chain resilience. Through practical measures, we aim to unlock the momentum of cross-border economic cooperation, co-creating an open, dynamic, resilient, and inclusive investment and trade ecosystem that injects enduring Chinese strength into stable global economic development.
